When it comes to breakfast, lunch or dinner at the Caledonian Hilton Edinburgh Hotel there are two restaurants to choose from – the Pompadour and Chisholms. In addition, there are two bars, named Caleys and Henry J Beans. Alternatively, you can make the most of 24-hour room service, although a limited menu is offered between 11pm and 6am.
Pompadour restaurant
This restaurant opened in the same year the First World War started under the roof of the original Princes Street train station. Those visiting the Pompadour are able to not only experience some of the top Scottish cuisine on offer but also to enjoy views out at the dominating castle and nearby Princes Street.
Chisholms restaurant
The 120-seat Chisholms restaurant offers a brasserie style of food for guests to make the most of. There are various Scottish, vegetarian and international dishes available in this informal setting. A sense of history is added due to the restaurant’s position next to the former platform of the Caledonian train station.
The Caley Bar
The Caley Bar can house 60 people at any one time and brings together a choice of all sorts of beverage. Enjoy a malt whisky or a whisky cocktail in style on one of the bars comfy sofas or leather chairs.
Henry J Beans
The American-style diner offers a range of grill dishes and various cocktails and other drinks. There is also a children’s menu in this fun and entertaining venue. Henry J Beans is open from lunch time through until the early hours from Monday through till Saturday, while on Sundays the bar opens in time for evening meals and remains open until 1am.
